Sartre just made me realize why I am able to ask myself such seemingly depressing questions to which no answer exists without becoming depressed, cruel and broken.
I used to believe that the questions “What does our existence mean?” and “Is Life worth living?” were one and the same. It led me quite obviously to a terrible place.
I have banished the latter question from my...

This will be a very incoherent piece of writing, as my thoughts at the moment are flooding in me at once. Tears began to swell in my eyes only minutes ago from the rushing feeling of ambiguity. New questions are being raised and they are creating tension - a nausea.
What is reality? For all I know, everything that I see here does not exist. What does my brain see? I know there is so much out of...

I took a small trip today, a brief 100 miles from my home, for the day. A friend responded to my intentions by exclaiming “What an adventure!” to which I gave some thought. Sartre has brought into my mind the question of what my life has been filled with - adventures or simple existence. I lied earlier when I stated that I have seen so little of the world, that I have been lacking...

I don’t see why people are so hostile to the belief that free will does not exist. Once you believe that everyone is simply acting in the present based off of experiences from the past - that everything they do, say and think is simply their brain reacting to a life of certain experiences - you begin to appreciate everyone’s existence, and all hatred slowly withers away.

I just had the most startling realization.
If I am aware of my own existence, it is because my brain is aware of my own existence. Since I am aware that my brain is aware of my existence, then my brain is aware of itself. My brain, composed of billions of neurons, is aware that it is a collective tangle of neurons.
I am not sure what this means.

It was revealed to me by my new doctor that the medication I was on at the time of my attempted suicide causes suicidal thoughts.

When I was prescribed the medication
